Who are we?

Independent Mortgage People is part of the larger JLM Mortgage Services Ltd, they were founded in 2002, has grown to cover the entire UK, with offices stretching from Aberdeen to Brighton. We are one of the UK’s fastest-growing mortgage Networks. Privately owned and completely independent, we deal with all mainstream mortgages, but specialise in more complex and high net worth loans.

Why are we different?

Unlike many of our corporate competitors, we are a completely INDEPENDENT, Whole of Market Mortgage Broker offering a choice of around 80 lenders and up to 25,000 different mortgage schemes. We are also able to look around a range of different insurers for your insurance needs.

How much does it cost?

We will not typically charge a fee for our services. We will be paid commission by the lender. In some circumstances a fee will be charged, for more complex cases a fee of £595 will be paid when you complete on a mortgage arranged by us. We will also be paid commission by the lender. For highly complex cases a fee of up to 1.00% of the loan will be payable when you complete on a mortgage arranged by us. We will refund any commission that we are paid by a lender. For example, on a mortgage of £200,000 a fee of £2,000 will be payable.
